RIEN NE VA PLUS

The fiction film Rien Ne Va Plus deals with a provoking love story, in which people are emotionally devastated because they cannot accept their very existence. The film is based on Margarita Karapanou’s novel of the same name. Stella, a sensitive writer, falls in love with and marries Alkis. On the night of their wedding, Alkis does something shocking that marks the beginning of the end. Unfaithfulness, humiliation and divorce are quick to follow. In the first part of the film, the narration is fictitious and fragmentary, as the viewer later finds out that what has been shown is a distorted version of reality emerging from the book Stella is writing. In the second part, the characters are reversed and become realistic. Through a series of twists, the viewer is kept wondering what is true and what is false. Where does reality end and fantasy begin?
